Green Synthesis of Immobilized CuO Photocatalyst for Disinfection of Water

چکیده

A green method for depositing a CuO layer with good adhesion and large surface area on support of activated alumina (Al2O3) was evaluated. The relatively simple consists adsorption copper salt the Al2O3, formation Cu(OH)2, subsequent decomposition hydroxide to CuO. XRD confirmed that deposited photocatalyst crystalized at low temperatures (80 °C). Furthermore, BET measurements show about 90 m2/g. is result speed conversion reactions. photokilling properties prepared were evaluated using E. coli cells leaching ions determined ICP-MS. photocatalytic efficiency also by degradation an organic azo dye. shows activity in purification disinfection treated water. described economical, fast, can be considered green, since only byproducts are water NaCl.
